Designed for two practicing artists, this house was created to support and exhibit the couples work.

Interested in a design language that evoked the heritage style of National Park Lodges, the building features large timber accents, exposed wood, custom carved columns and wood trusses, and an open two story loft space.

Created for aging in place, the ground floor office doubles as a guest bedroom and can be converted into a master suite as needed. A large accessible veranda contains a fireplace and space for outdoor eating.

The house is highly energy efficient, with radiant floor heating, and heat recovery ventilators providing effective, low-cost operation.
